about

This is my first solo recording. It is a solo and it isn't. It was recorded in the lobby of the Music & Sound building at the Banff Centre during the Jazz and Creative Music Workshop of 2005, just before I moved to Montreal. In addition to trumpet, we hear the electroacoustic sculpture 'Kinetoflux', made by Toronto artist Garnet Willis. This is a series of wooden structures strung with harpsichord strings and played by electromagnets, in response to fluctuations of room frequencies.

In addition to this stereo edition, there also exists a 5.1 Surround version.

The album was the first release on Mr. E Records, released in an edition of 138 hand-painted and numbered cdrs. Covers were made from folded pages of the book 'AYA' by Swiss artist Annelies Strba. Photocopied liner notes.

Physical copies sold out, download only.
